The prefight hype job is done. The fellas weighed-in earlier today. The time is almost here to see the next in Brock Lesnar's evolution as an MMA fighter. At the weigh-in, he looked leaner. Imagine a faster Lesnar, who may be more comfortable on his feet. That's a scary proposition. When he first hit the big stage with the UFC, Cain Velasquez was touted as the future of the division. At UFC 80, he lost by TKO to Fabricio "Vai Cavalo" Werdum.Double J Hill: Gonzaga rebounded with two wins, a submission of Justin McCully and one-minute knockout of Josh Hendricks.Shane Valley: Any momentum gained from the quick wins over McCully and Hendricks was stopped by Shane Carwin at UFC 96. Carwin TKOed Gonzaga in 1:09 of the first round.Tuchscherer Molehill: At UFC 102, Gonzaga earned a quick TKO win over Brock Lesnar's training partner.Valley of the JDS: That brings us to Gonzaga's latest bout, a loss to Junios Dos Santos in the first round of their bout at UFC on Versus 1. With a beautiful hook, JDS sent Gonzaga to the ground.  One thing to note about Gonzaga's career -- he has never had a fight go to decision. UFC 121 press-conference notes: bonuses, retirement and more

With all that happened during UFC 121, the UFC and media had to get together to talk about it. The news from the UFC 121 postfight press conference:-- Fight of the Night bonuses were given to Diego Sanchez and Paulo Thiago, Submission of the Night was awarded to Daniel Roberts and the new heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez won Knockout of the Night. Each bonus was worth $70,000.-- Dana White said that when watching the monitors during the main event, he thought he saw Brock Lesnar verbally submit to the Cain Velasquez, but Velasquez said he didn't hear that.-- Velasquez said that he worked on the exact gameplan that he executed to win the fight, drilling the single leg takedown with Olympic wrestler and Strikeforce heavyweight Daniel Cormier. -- Jake Shields admitted that dropping down to welterweight from middleweight did take its toll. "I don't want to make excuses, but that was the first time that I've been at that weight in a long time." UFC president Dana White said that Shields did earn the welterweight title shot with the win over Kampmann. Shields will get his shot after the UFC-- Though he lost tonight, former UFC champ Tito Ortiz balked at the mention that he was near retirement. "Not even close to the end of my career. I need to get back to wrestling. I need to get back to my roots," Ortiz said. "The last few years, I've been through a lot, but I'm not a quitter. I'm healthy. I'm going to continue on. It sucks to lose, but I'm a person who will suck it up and continue on."Ortiz did not make any excuses for the loss and said that he was 100 percent healthy for the fight with Matt Hamill.-- Dana White said that he likes Diego Sanchez at welterweight, calling him big, strong and aggressive at that weight. Sanchez said that he is willing to do whatever the UFC wants, but White clarified that the weight class he fights at is Sanchez's decision. -- Brock Lesnar was not present at the press conference.

Droid Explorer lets you manage your rooted Android phone from Windows Explorer

Droid Explorer is, at a glance, a dream app for Android owners. As you can see from the screenshot above, it provides a delicious Windows Explorer-powered portal to everything on your phone. It's also free, and open-source.

The tools provided by Droid Explorer range from the very handy (browsing the file system, installing/uninstalling apps, backing up and syncing your data) -- through to the positively power useresque (debug console, ROM updating, SQLite exploring). Needless to say, at least half of the tools can probably brick your phone, so be careful.

You can also send SMS massages (though I didn't get this to work), capture screenshots and video (like other tools of this ilk, it's still only a few frames per second) -- and, most importantly, you can even shut down your phone! Never again do you have to click through a bunch of menus to shut down your phone.

Despite how awesome it all sounds, don't get too excited: Droid Explorer is beta software and unless you have one of the confirmed-compatible devices, it might simply refuse to work. It only half-worked with my cheap-and-cheerful LG smartphone, but it's possible that I botched one of setup steps.

The installer took a few attempts (and reboots) before it would play ball. And even then, you still need to root your phone and install BusyBox! Kings Of Leon Say Justin Bieber Sounds Better With A Cocktail

According to the Kings of Leon themselves, the title of their brand-new album Come Around Sundown was taken from country singer John Anderson's song "Small Town." It also happens to be a pretty apt description for the album, which is a nocturnal, sultry thing about, well, nocturnal, sultry things.

And, unlike pretty much everything people have said about the album, the Kings themselves actually sort of agree with that assessment. Because, in a lot of ways, Sundown is the soundtrack to their lives ... the overwhelming majority of which happens to occur very late at night.
"I don't think we had any intention of making the songs more about the night time, but maybe the music we were listening to was inspired by that, or maybe just the fact that we enjoy the nighttime," frontman Caleb Followill said. "I think you want to listen to it whenever you don't have a lot of stuff going on and you can actually just relax ... I think it sounds better with a cocktail, probably. I don't know, though — I don't really listen to that much music in the morning."
It's worth mentioning that pretty much all the Kings' music is rather cocktail-friendly ... they are, after all, a band that's not exactly averse to the occasional party. But on Sundown, they've wrapped the majority of their boozy, woozy rock in a downright nightly haze — inspired by, as bassist Jared Followill explained, the music of Beach House and LCD Soundsystem, which the band was listening to during the writing process.
And while those inspirations are new, the basic formula KOL used on Sundown remained largely unchanged: One part sweaty, Southern rock, three parts cocktail-inspired bad behavior. Like the old saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
"Everything [is better with a cocktail]," Jared Followill smiled.
"Justin Bieber sounds better with a cocktail."

Google Chrome Dev channel update brings password sync, minor tweaks

Google has update the Chrome Dev channel to 8.0.552.18 on all platforms, and while the focus this time is on polish and bug fixes, one important new feature has arrived.

First spotted in the Canary build a few days ago, password sync is now available to Dev channel users and enabled by default. I'm still not certain the sync is actually active, though, as my Canary builds on three machines still seem to be running password stores that are noticeably out-of-sync.

Italy Orders Google To Clearly Label Street View Cars, Advertise Routes

Parts of Europe have been, for whatever reason, more wary of Google's Street View service than others. The occasional lawsuit hasn't prevented the march of progress, though Italy's new regulations may cause more of a hassle than the occasional grumpy homeowner. The Privacy Authority President, Francesco Pizzetti, described the outrage:

"There has been strong alarm and also hostility in a lot of European countries against Google taking photos. We have received protests even from local administrations."

Odd that a country so heavily invested in their tourist industry, which consists largely of foreign people taking millions of photos of the country's most precious possessions, would take issue with the far more systematic and predictable Street View operations. Considering their handling of that other incident, it seems that perhaps the Italian government is simply not equipped to deal progressively with the implications and consequences of the internet and Google in particular.

'Filthy' Tom Lawlor cuts out his dirty, drinking ways

Witnessing his hilarious ring entrances, we've seen what a wackjob Tom Lawlor can be just before fights. Little did we know that Lawlor was pushing the limits of sanity with his training camp and prefight partying. That may have been fine during Season 8 of "The Ultimate Fighter" and his run on the minor league circuit, but Lawlor found out it doesn't cut it in the UFC. Now he's facing a must-win fight against Patrick Cote at UFC 121. Winless in 2010, Lawlor had to make some changes. "I haven't been going wild for the past seven or eight weeks which is kind of a departure from my normal situation," Lawlor told Neil Davidson from The Canadian Press. "It might be hard to believe but I'm being dead honest. There's been times that two weeks before, a week before, I'm out drinking, staying out late, partying. And I got away with it."Lawlor (6-3, 2-2 UFC) admits MMA came easy when he first started."For a while [the drinking and partying] just didn't matter, I didn't care," said Lawlor. "I had such a carefree attitude that I didn't feel like anybody was going to stop me, no matter what I did. After a while I think it just came back to bite me."Lawlor jumped out to a quick start in his January fight against Aaron Simpson only to wilt down the stretch and laid an egg versus Joe Doerksen at UFC 113, getting choked out in the second. Lawlor claims he didn't gas out in those losses. It was more a case of overtraining. He prepped for this one in the Boston area with fellow UFC fighter Joe Lauzon, where he cut out the partying and drinking along with managing his workouts more carefully. The 27-year-old can feel the difference."In the past it's been hard to kind of walk around, even on a day-to-day basis," said Lawlor. "And I'm not sure if that's just from wear and tear on my body or years of [amateur] wrestling or the couple of years I did of pro wrestling or what it is. But my joints and stuff feel fresher now. I'm sure it has something to do with my body not inflaming up because of massive amounts of alcohol that I've been drinking."Lawlor has a tough test in Cote, who is also facing what could be a must-win situation. Recovering from a slew of injuries, Cote (13-6, 4-3 UFC) was away from the Octagon for over 20 months, falling way back in the 185-pound pack. Cote lost his comeback fight against Alan Belcher in May. One bit of bad news from Lawlor. Because he's fighting on the Spike television portion of the card, he can't approach the cage with one of his inventive themes.

More details emerge of supposed PSP2 with backside touch controls, HD screen, hot personality

About a month before this year's Tokyo Game Show we started hearing new reports of the PSP2, a device that's been rumored since roughly the dawn of time (which could explain the prehistoric creatures on the concept render above). These rumors, however, were different, specifically the mention of a touchpad on the back of the device. Alas that device didn't make an appearance to the press at TGS, but supposedly Sony was showing it off to some developers. Kotaku has learned a few more things, most notable being a display an inch larger than the current PSP's and having a high-def resolution -- a detail that should surprise none. According to the report Sony is still tweaking the internal hardware, trying to mitigate overheating issues ahead of a release sometime in the fall of 2011. Jay-Z may be Beyoncé's husband, but the hip-hop heavyweight will not be managing the pop star anytime soon. According to a statement posted by the singer's management website, Music World Entertainment, Beyoncé's father, Mathew Knowles is not being replaced by Jay-Z or anyone else as her manager.
"Contrary to false rumors online, Beyoncé and her manager Mathew Knowles unequivocally have had and continue to have a close personal and business relationship. Mathew Knowles is the sole and exclusive manager of Beyoncé," the statement reads.
Mathew Knowles has always played an important part in his daughter's career, dating all the way back to her days in Destiny's Child. When the group split in 2005, Mathew continued managing Beyoncé as well as Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. But Rowland and Williams recently parted ways with Knowles and his Music World Entertainment team. Earlier this year, he also denied claims that the trio were in talks to reunite Destiny's Child.
In addition to refuting the online rumors, the management company confirmed that the singer is working on upcoming music projects. "Furthermore, Beyoncé is readying the release of her new, highly anticipated DVD and has started the recording process for her new album," the statement concluded.
One producer that the singer may be reuniting with for her next record is Ne-Yo. The pair previously worked together on her hit single "Irreplaceable" back in 2006. Just last week, the soon-to-be father tweeted, "Mornin' NY!!! Studio with Mary J Blige last night, Beyonce tonight. I LOVE MY JOB!!! Shout out Jerry Wonder!!"

Android Fans Rejoice: The Gingerbread Man Just Landed At Google HQ

Yes, the rumors were true: the newest version of Android, codenamed Gingerbread, is imminent. How do we know? Because there's a new, massive treat that just arrived at Google headquarters: the Gingerbread Man.

Kanye West's "Runaway" Film Debut

Unveiling his latest creative effort, the always-entertaining Kanye West has released his debut film project titled "Runaway".
Coming as the ""Stronger" singer readies to release a new album later this year, the video "focuses on the ill-fated relationship between West and a phoenix that plummets from the cosmos (Selita Ebanks)."
Talking about his release with MTV, Kanye was asked about any difficulties he faced while putting together the interesting 34-minute movie.
To this, he laughingly replied, "Was there any difficult parts?. Thinking about dressing all of those people. Or finding where the [phoenix] wings were, who would make the wings. Laying the colors, having to go back and forth. Directing myself, 'cause I can make awesome decisions right there. But when I stand on that piano [in the 'Runaway' scene], I got to make sure Kyle, who is an amazing [director of photography] on this, I got to trust him that he caught that shot the proper way. So it takes a little bit longer, when you have to go around and get behind the camera. So these shots, I would have to go look at it, do it again, look at it again. I had a number of concerns: Is it realistic? Are we getting a good angle? We didn't have Hype Williams-level lighting in that warehouse."

Zach Galifianakis Behind Axing Mel Gibson from Hangover 2?

On Tuesday, we told you that Mel Gibson would be appearing in the sequel to the 2009 comedy sensation The Hangover. We questioned whether the world was ready to laugh at Gibson, with the memory of his girlfriend-killing threats and racist insults still fresh in our minds. Turns out that a few people involved with the movie didn't think the idea was so funny, either. On Thursday, Hangover 2 director Todd Phillips announced that Gibson's cameo had been cancelled.

"I thought Mel would have been great in the movie," Phillips said. "But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew."

According to Phillips, the studio supported the decision to cast Gibson. So who convinced him to can the controversial actor? Fans are speculating that it was The Hangover's breakout star, Zach Galifianakis, who objected. The actor and comedian appeared on a popular comedy podcast last week, and spoke in veiled terms about an issue he was having with (presumably) the Hangover 2 filmmakers.

"I'm in a deep protest right now with a movie I'm working on, up in arms about something," said Galifianakis, after explaining that he sometimes turns down roles on moral grounds. "But I can't get the guys to [listen] ... I'm not making any leeway... It's very frustrating."

Galifianakis may have been talking about something else entirely; we imagine that The Hangover 2 has its fair share of questionable humor. However, if he did object to using Gibson as a punchline, it sounds like he wasn't the only one. Wonder how many cast and crew members voiced their concerns before Gibson was canned?

Gibson's rejection from The Hangover 2 brings back the question of whether he can ever have a Hollywood career again. One film is hanging in the balance: Jodie Foster's provocative comedy The Beaver, starring Gibson as a businessman who has a nervous breakdown and starts talking through a puppet. The movie was shot in 2009, but its release date was postponed indefinitely when its star became the most hated man in show business. It's one thing if no one will work with Gibson on a new film -- but is he such a pariah that no one will touch a movie that he already made?

Lady Gaga Postpones Paris Shows Due To Strikes

Lady Gaga's French fans will have to wait until the end of the year to catch the Monster Ball spectacle in concert. The pop superstar's tour backer, Live Nation, announced Wednesday (October 20) that her Paris dates, scheduled near the end of the month, will be pushed back as a result of ongoing strikes in the region.
"As a result of the logistical difficulties due to the strikes in France, Live Nation today announced that the Lady Gaga performances in Paris at Bercy previously scheduled for this Friday and Saturday 22 & 23 October are postponed until 19 & 20 December, 2010," read a statement posted on the star's website.
The European nation has been in the throes of civil upheaval for weeks since French President Nicolas Sarkozy announced a proposal to bump the minimum retirement age up from 60 to 62 and raise the age that citizens can receive pension benefits from 65 to 67. Many workers have gone on strike, including employees of France's oil refineries, leading to fuel shortages throughout the country.
"Unfortunately, as there is no certainty that the trucks can make it to the Bercy for this weekend's shows, the Lady Gaga performances are now postponed," the statement continued. "The December 19th concert will replace the 22-October show and December 20th concert will replace the 23-October performance."
According to the statement, Gaga's little monsters have until mid-November to turn in tickets for a refund or swap out a new ticket for either of the winter dates.
"Fans with tickets to the rescheduled shows must exchange their tickets or claim for refund from now through November 14th at their point of purchase," the statement read. "Tickets dated October 22 and 23 will not be valid at the new dates." The statement concluded with "Lady Gaga apologizes to her fans for any inconvenience."
The postponed dates are a setback for an acclaimed global trek that has racked up cash around the world. Gaga's tour is projected to pull in roughly $200 million when it winds down in April 2011.

Randy Quaid: Trying to Escape "Hollywood Star Whackers"

They're no doubt quite the peculiar pair, and now Randy Quaid and his wife Evi have claimed to be worried for their lives as they seek asylum in Canada.
The twosome - who were nabbed by authorities in an upscale Vancouver neighborhood this past week - are currently free on bond as they're scheduled to appear before officials on October 28th.
With Canadian authorities determining whether or not to hand the Quaids over to Santa Barbara, California police on outstanding warrants, Randy and Evi reportedly asked to stay up north of the border to escape "Hollywood star whackers."
Citing deceased friends including Heath Ledger and David Carridine, the couple says that those two - and six others - have been "murdered" under suspicious circumstances.
Randy added during Friday's hearing, "I love Canada. It's been a very welcoming nation to me. I would not do anything to besmirch my reputation."

The wraps have been officially pulled off of Opera 11, and as you might have guessed, the recently-announced extensions support is taking center stage. Opera's Thomas Ford was kind enough to send over a handful of images in advance of the release, and you can clearly see three active in the Opera toolbar: Reddited, Opera2Phone, and Yr.No Forecast.

As with other browsers, Opera will offer a curated repository from which you can download extensions. Currently, it's located at http://addons.labs.opera.com/. Developer documentation has also been posted, and it's all about Web standards (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, etc.). Opera also claims that it should only involve a few simple tweaks to port existing extensions from browsers like Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. You can check out some additional screenshots of Opera 11 browsing and installing extensions after the jump.

We'll be taking a look at some of the other new features in Opera 11 throughout the day. Now without further ado, here are the Opera 11 alpha download links:

2011 World Superbike Official Test Dates Announced

The dates of the official tests for the World Superbike series were announced today by Infront Motorsports, the organizers of WSBK. The locations of the two official tests are no surprise: the first three-day test is to be held at Portimao, on Portugal's Algarve coast, from January 26th through 28th, 2011. The Portimao circuit is a favorite with most of the riders, and a big backer of the series, supporting the Parkalgar Honda team in World Supersport. The second test will take place at Phillip Island, on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd of February, two days before the 2011 season opener at the Australian circuit. 
The two official tests will not be the only times at which the World Superbike teams will be able to test, however. An unofficial test is scheduled for later in the month, from October 27th to the 29th, at which a large part of the grid is due to take place. New Sterilgarda Yamaha signing Marco Melandri will have to wait for another two weeks, though, as the Aragon test falls directly before the Portuguese MotoGP round at Estoril. Melandri will test the Yamaha at Valencia, on the Thursday after the MotoGP round.

Kongo is the latest fighter to claim rampant steroid use in MMA

There's a lot of impressive physiques in mixed martial arts, none more so than Cheick Kongo. Kongo says he doesn't use performance enhancing drugs and never will. He can't say the same about his compadres. Kongo is part of a growing group of fighters going public with claims that the sport has an issue with steroid use.  "50 percent [of MMA fighters take steroids], if not more.... What can I say,
other than we need to stay away from all of that. It's not easy to put things
into perspective, especially if you believe that you have a disadvantage from
the get go," Kongo told Riddum.com. The Frenchman is absolutely shredded, so there be no purpose for him to use steroids, right? That's not entirely true. He's a 230-pound heavyweight in a world of 265 pounders. Kongo says there's a ton of pressure to keep up with the Joneses in all weight classes. "For some athletes, it's hard to hold up physically and mentally- the pressure,
the obligation to stay on top - everything pushes you to take steroids," said Kongo.Kongo (15-6-2, 8-4-1 UFC) fought to a draw this weekend at UFC 120 against the 6-foot-7, 251-pound Travis Browne. He was clearly at a power disadvantage but he won't change his mind about turning to drugs for help.

succeed without them." Kongo joins Dennis Hallman, who told Inside MMA on HDNet that he also thought 50 percent of the game was using. After his fight at UFC 117, Hallman apologized for making the statement. His post-comment behavior was similar to Josh Koscheck, who at the start of taping for Season 12 of "The Ultimate Fighter" suggested that he and GSP should be blood tested like Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley were before their fight. Kos quickly rescinded his request and apologized for thinly-veiled claims that St. Pierre was using. For fans of the major sports, this sounds eerily similar to the 2005 claims made by Jose Canseco that 85 percent of baseball was using. In MMA, is this a case of "Where there's smoke there's fire?" or are Hallman, Koscheck, B.J. Penn and Kongo full of it? Hopefully, this is all a minor story soon when cheaper ways of blood testing come along. Then extensive testing should be made mandatory for all major cards in the U.S. Until then, the sport has a pretty good-sized image issue to deal with unless it can get its own athletes to stop speaking their mind.  Tip via MMAMania

'Jersey Shore' Season Two: Our Five Favorite Moments

This is just crazy.
Our mission is to select our five favorite moments from the second season of "Jersey Shore," but how can we choose? Where does one draw the line? Remember the time the Situation and his date picked out some pre-coital pajamas before they even went out on the town for the first time? Gross! Or the evening when nice guy Vinny was stood up by the girl he'd basically already decided would become his wife? Sad! How about JWoww's smush chart, Angelina's tampon or that poor girl's plastic cleavage enhancer floating in the hot tub?
Good times, all. But none of them make our top five. That's just the kind of season it's been. Which is to say: awesome. Here are the moments we enjoyed the most.
The Situation's Egg Sandwich
So it's 6 a.m and Sitch and Pauly have failed in their nightly quest to get it in. Nothing a quick phone call can't solve, at least for Pauly, who wrangles a classy lady over for a sunrise smush. The Situation was not as lucky, and rather than just call it a night (or a morning), he cooked himself one seriously tasty egg sandwich and happily declared, "I had a first-row seat for a slam session!"
There Sitch lay on his bed, munching away while Pauly got busy doing his thing. Creepy? Fraternal? Homoerotic? All of the above? At least the Situation was considerate enough to ask his buddy, "You want half?"
Pauly, to his credit, did not make the same offer.
Uncle Nino
Our only regret when it comes to Uncle Nino is that he has not been made a full-time castmember. Yet.
In a season filled with new pleasures and perils, Vinny's uncle was easily the most entertaining fresh face of them all. You could barely understand a word the guy said, but that didn't stop the potbellied, vino-swilling Nino from being utterly endearing, the life of the party, a true and unforgettable character. During his brief time on the show, he snuggled with JWoww in the hot tub, told largely incomprehensible stories at the dinner table and, well, won our hearts.
T-Shirt Time
This was not so much a moment as an ongoing theme. The boys' wardrobe routine has gifted the pop-culture lexicon with some brillz lingo ("Shirt before the shirt" is a phrase that will survive the apocalypse, like cockroaches and Pauly's 'do). But for sheer exuberance and the way it sums up an entire philosophy in just two words, one cannot beat the oft-repeated chant of "T-shirt time."
As in, you've downed a bunch of Ron Ron juice, the cabs are minutes away from whisking you away to Klutch, you just know it's gonna be a sick night, and you call out to your homies, "It's T-shirt tiiiiiiiiiime!" and they shout back, "It's T-shirt tiiiiiiiiiime!"
Ronnie and the Jell-O Shot Girl
Depending on how you view the drama between Ron Ron and Sammi, this was the moment that either launched a thousand yawns or kick-started episode after episode of curse-laden reality-show gold.
The duo had barely been in Miami long enough to get a tan before Ronnie ended up sucking face with two (un)lucky ladies and, as he later bragged, "I was onstage motor-boating the Jell-O shot girls."
Sammi and Ron's drama then took over the show for a few weeks. Remember those fights? And the anonymous letter? And, um, those other fights? It all started when Ronnie went out and, in his precious words, "did mad work tonight."
Snooki vs. Angelina
"Hold my earrings, please." With that dainty request from Snickers, the season's best fight was under way. Together, the girls tossed and turned like a multi-tentacled monster out of "Cloverfield," except with better tans, as Sitch moved the living-room table out of the way and the boys called out the rounds.
Hair was pulled, punches were thrown and bitches were encouraged to bring it on. And Snooki laid down the greatest taunt ever heard during a girl-on-girl throw-down: "Hey, I'm still pretty!"

Even if they didn't walk away with Moonmen, just about everybody who attended the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards exited the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles a winner. Taylor Swift started some buzz with new music, and Paramore's Hayley
Williams finally got to do a live tag-team with B.o.B. Another winner in spirit? Ke$ha, whose first visit to the VMAs was a positive one.

"It was amazing. I got to wear a garbage bag on national TV," Ke$ha gushed on the red carpet at the premiere of the second season for the HBO show "Eastbound and Down." "It was fun. It was good. And I got nominated for four, and it was a dream come true just to be there."
The 23-year-old singer, who did indeed wear a dress made from garbage bags, was impressed with the level of fashion experimentation at this year's show. "It was fun. I think everybody was having fun with it," she said. However, she is not entirely sure she would be able to take the steps that Lady Gaga did with her head-turning meat-based ensemble. "I don't know if I could actually put raw meat on me," she admitted.
With the VMAs behind her, Ke$ha is working on a new album, but was mostly excited to get out and support her favorite show on television. "I don't watch TV, but this show I connect with on a really deep level," she said. "I kind of feel like I'm the female version of Danny McBride: Kind of white trash, just ready to party."

Naomi Campbell is notorious for her anger issues, but it seems that she hasn't thrown a punch (or a cell phone) at anybody since March. Has the tantrum-prone supermodel changed her ways? Campbell says that she's working on it -- with a little help from the spiritual practice of Kabbalah.

"What you can change is yourself and the type of energy you put into yourself," says Campbell, 40. "I study Kabbalah because it takes me to a positive, calm place."

Kabbalah is a spiritual discipline based on ancient Jewish mysticism, which has become popular with celebrities of all faiths through the Los Angeles-based Kabbalah Centre. Campbell doesn't seem big on the 'discipline' part of 'spiritual discipline,' saying she's been "in and out of Kabbalah since around 2000." But now she says she's practicing -- although she doesn't know if she's "been pronouncing everything right." (Maybe she needs a personal rabbi, like hardcore Kabbalah practitioner Madonna?)

Madonna may be the most devoted celeb, but plenty of other big names have sought enlightenment through Kabbalah -- especially in times of personal crisis. Britney Spears started reading the spiritual texts when her marriage to Kevin Federline went down the tubes (although she later gave it up, allegedly ending her friendship with Madonna). Rosie O'Donnell took up the practice after leaving The View. Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore have been adherents since before they were married, but they're rumored to be turning to Kabbalah to weather the recent cheating allegations. And back in 2004, Paris Hilton started going to the Kabbalah Centre to cope with her break-up from Nick Carter.

Most of the celebs who dabble in Kabbalah never become devotees; some even have second thoughts, like Britney Spears, who had the Kabbalah-related tattoo removed from her neck. But Naomi Campbell obviously needs to learn some compassion, and if all that community service didn't do it, then maybe some ancient Jewish mystical texts will. If nothing else, she may bring those little red bracelets back into fashion.

Google Chrome's about:labs becoming about:flags, kill switch added

Just days ago, I wrote about an upcoming change Google had planned for the about:labs page. The goal: to make the page less inviting and clarify the fact that experimental features listed on the page could very well cause users problems.

Today, the change has landed in Chromium and will no doubt be pushed to Canary shortly. Now called about:flags, the page sports the trefoil (internationally recognized as a warning against radiation) and a bigger, scarier warning. "Please proceed with caution," the intro concludes.

In addition to the name change and new cautionary text, a command line switch has been added to allow users to launch Chrome with all previously-enabled experimental features disabled: --no-experiments.
